“Agriculture is literally the coolest industry,” said a refreshed Randy Jackiw, Agricorp’s CEO, after completing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on September 3. Jackiw accepted the challenge, which was issued by the Grain Farmers of Ontario CEO, Barry Senft, and Agricorp’s former vice-chair, David Epp. In turn, he extended the challenge to three more leaders in the agriculture sector:
- Neil Currie, General Manager of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture
- Debbie Zimmerman, CEO of Grape Growers of Ontario
- Dave Buttenham, CEO of Ontario Agri-Business Association.
The ice bucket phenomenon is making its way through the agricultural sector, helping ALS Canada reach its fundraising goal. It’s just one more example of the sector’s important contribution to community.
