RMP: Grains and Oilseeds rates are available online, and farmers can begin considering their coverage now.
RMP: Grains and Oilseeds 2022 premium rates are being kept the same as in 2020 and 2021, helping in a time of uncertainty.
To align with Production Insurance timing, 2022 RMP: Grains and Oilseeds enrolment deadlines are extended. Farmers now have until May 16, 2022 to
apply for RMP: Grains and Oilseeds.
Renewal information coming in May
This May, existing RMP: Grains and Oilseeds customers will receive information in the mail about renewing for 2022. They will have until June 30, 2022, to make coverage changes, which is the same deadline for Production Insurance acreage reporting.
Farmers can save time by making any coverage changes and reporting acres at the same time.
About RMP: Grains and Oilseeds
RMP is designed to work like insurance and helps farmers manage risks beyond their control, such as fluctuating costs and market prices.
Payments are made if a crop's market price falls below the annual support level. The support level is based on the industry-average cost of producing a crop (target price) and the chosen coverage level.
Participation in Production Insurance is required to be eligible for RMP: Grains and Oilseeds.
