All fresh and processing varieties of strawberries during their fruit-bearing years.
Eligibility conditions
Variety | Condition |
Day-neutral varieties of strawberries | The fruit bearing years are the first and second years after planting. |
June-bearing varieties of strawberries | The fruit bearing years are after the first year of planting. |
Coverage period
Coverage begins in the fall and ends when harvest is complete or the coverage period end date is reached, whichever comes first.
Coverage dates vary by area, depending on when your crop was planted, the available crop heat units and other specific geographical characteristics. Review the map below to verify the geographical area for your farm.

Defined coverage areas
The following map defines the five specific areas and has been developed by Agricorp based on consideration of available crop heat units and other specific geographical characteristics.
Areas C and E are defined by municipal boundaries, as follows:

Area C: Niagara and Haldimand County and Tuscarora Township

Area E: Northern Ontario, the districts of Algoma, Cochrane, Kenora, Manitoulin, Muskoka, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Rainy River, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, Temiskaming, and the county of Haliburton
