A program to provide financial assistance to Ontario beekeepers
was announced today by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food (OMAF). This one-time financial assistance, to be delivered by Agricorp, will compensate eligible beekeepers who experience unusually high bee deaths this year.
Program details are still being finalized. More information will be available by May 16 when packages are mailed to eligible beekeepers and posted to agricorp.com.
Beekeepers continue to have access to programs like
AgriStability,
AgriInvest and the
Self-Directed Risk Management program for support.
