Agricorp's board of directors is pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Doug LaRose as the agency's Chief Executive Officer, effective February 2017.
Doug has fulfilled an interim appointment as CEO for the past eighteen months while former CEO, Randy Jackiw, was on assignment with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Having served as Agricorp's Chief Information Officer since 2007, Doug brings strong business and technical expertise to the role of CEO, as well as extensive knowledge of Agricorp programs and systems.
As CEO, Doug is focused on making sure Agricorp continues to operate with integrity and provide excellent customer service as the agency celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. "I'm excited to carry on the great work we've been doing at Agricorp to improve our delivery and make it easier for customers to do business with us," he said.
Board Chair, Murray Porteous notes that Agricorp is changing the way they do business in preparation to adopt new technology that will reduce administration costs, improve customer service and reduce the amount of time farmers spend dealing with paperwork. "I am pleased that we will be able to continue with Doug's capable leadership at this important time of transition," he said.
The board would like to congratulate Doug and wish him continued success as Agricorp's CEO. The board also thanks Randy for his strong leadership in his 13 years as CEO. Randy's commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and ethical standards have laid a strong foundation for Agricorp.
